Murray Zircon is a Mineral Sands company in the South Australian mining sector and has set its sights on becoming a sustainable mineral sands producer for the future.
Murray Zircon has redeveloped and successfully operated the Mindarie Mineral Sands Project since 2012, producing heavy mineral concentrate (HMC). Mineral sands are natural beach sands containing economic quantities of heavy minerals, including zircon, rutile and ilmenite.
Murray Zircon Pty Ltd is a mineral sands mining company focused on the production of heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) in the Murray Basin in South Australia. The Company was formed in June 2011.
Murray Zircon’s principal asset is the Mindarie Mineral Sands Project, located 150km east of Adelaide in the Mallee region of South Australia. Operations at Mindarie involved the mining of mineral sands strandlines located on individual Mineral Leases.
HMC product from Mindarie is exported to China where it is separated into various heavy minerals including zircon, ilmenite and rutile. The Company also holds an exploration tenement portfolio covering more than 6,000 km² within the Murray Basin.

As the Maintenance Superindentent reporting directly to the General Manager – Operations, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of our Maintenance Department. Your mission is to lead the team in consistently achieving budgeted performance targets by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring all maintenance activities are planned, manned and executed to the highest standards, safely and efficiently.
